Even if you grew up in Miami, you may not know what this area is called – we consider High Pines one of Miami’s greatest hidden treasures. This compact pedestrian-friendly neighborhood is known for its charming, tree-lined streets, small town feel and amazingly central location. South Miami’s lively shopping district & sidewalk restaurants are just blocks away. The University of Miami, South Miami Hospital, top rated schools and a host of other amenities are all within a mile!
Many assume that High Pines is part of South Miami or Coral Gables, but it’s actually a sliver of unincorporated Miami- Dade County. High Pines is bordered by Red Road (SW 57th Ave) to the west and just beyond School House Road (SW 52nd Ave) to the east. Housing options include 1950’s bungalows, luxurious new-construction single-family homes, and townhome and condominium options ranging in price from $200,000 to $2 million and up.
“When my husband and I first moved back home to Miami from a very urban locale, I knew I had to live in High Pines. I wanted to live in a neighborhood where I could walk to get a cup of coffee, see kids playing in the streets and meet our neighbors easily. This was a fantastic choice for us and I sill miss the walkability. There is nothing like living just a few blocks from Whip and Dip – one of the best ice cream parlors in town!”
