The South Miami/Ludlam Trail area encompasses the city of South Miami as well as a section of unincorporated Miami- Dade County that lies just west of its city limits – also known as the “St. Thomas the Apostle” area for the well-known church and school. Downtown South Miami is known as one of the major hubs for many of us who live in Pinecrest, Coconut Grove or Coral Gables. The vibrant center of town lies along Sunset Dr. and Red Rd. and features sidewalk cafes & restaurants, a shopping area with a movie theater, Whole Foods and many of our favorite local shops.
Just blocks from the center of town & east of US1 is a residential section of South Miami with condos and homes that are in high-demand due to their easy walkability to the town center. On the west side of US1 is where the majority of South Miami is located as well as the Ludlam Trail neighborhood. As you travel west, the lot sizes tend to get larger – you might even see a horse-or-two around! In these neighborhoods you can feel like you’re a world away from the hustle and bustle of Miami, but in reality you’re a short trip to the heart of it all.
“I live in this area and absolutely love it! Where else can you live on an acre with horses across the street and still be located less than 2 miles from the heart of South Miami, a Metrorail Train station and the University?”
